Salon N-10: the room where the practices committee evaluates the board and the independent director kit lands before the benchmark

Salon N-10 sits inside one of the corporate practices and governance committee complexes in the Polanco-Bosques corridor of Mexico City: an oval table seating eleven, a central screen for benchmark review, lecterns for the committee chair and the Spencer Stuart or Egon Zehnder consultant, an adjoining deliberation room with five seats, a holding foyer for working coffee, a dumbwaiter from the corporate kitchen, and an independent access door for the notary when the minutes signing requires public attestation. This is where the annual practices committee sessions of IPC-listed corporates run, where the annual board evaluations of dual-listed groups take place, where the CEO succession plan reviews convene, and where the executive compensation reports are reviewed. What separates Salon N-10 from a posh ballroom is the documentary order: the independent director kit enters before the benchmark, exits signed by each committee member at close, and respects the confidentiality limits of the succession plan.

Salon N-10 logistics, access and custody

Salon N-10 runs on a freight dock dedicated to the corporate: the lateral dock accepts 6-ton trailers within restricted hours and by prior booking, and the 2.5-ton box truck has its own ramp under permanent surveillance. Pedestrian freight access requires prior ID, the corporate credential and a logbook signature from the operations area; there is no informal access and no entry through the corporate main door. The corporate operations staff delivers the independent director folder with visible ID and credential, and handles restocking during the session recess. Salon N-10's back-of-house has three areas: the committee holding foyer (where the folder is staged), the deliberation room (where the remaining merch sits in sealed boxes) and the notary's room (where reserved material is kept under notarial signature).

For practices committee sessions with international consultant presence (typically from the US, Canada, Europe and Asia), we handle invoicing in USD at the Banco de Mexico FIX rate from the day before the session, with USMCA compliance and support for deduction as Corporate Governance or Executive Compensation expense in the corporate fiscal close. For sessions with CNBV presence when applicable, we handle compliance with the corporate security protocol and the notarial protocol when the minutes signing requires public attestation. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, time stamp and photo at every checkpoint: dock entry, operations inspection, back-of-house transfer, restocking during the recess, post-session pickup.

Salon N-10 confidentiality, compliance and restrictions

Salon N-10 enforces operating rules the merch must respect: phones off inside the room during committee deliberations (directors leave their phones in the holding foyer), no merch with noise or distraction elements, no large backpacks or bags inside the room (directors leave their gear in the foyer), no POP material carrying competitor logos (frequently requested by corporates), no outside food or beverages beyond the corporate catering service, no non-uniformed personnel in the back-of-house during the session. For sessions that require limited-edition merchandising (numbered anniversary plaque, book signed by the study guest author, paperweight stamped with the succession plan year), we coordinate with the corporate operations team to ensure the piece clears the security protocol, the notarial protocol and the CEO succession plan confidentiality protocol.

For SAT invoicing we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as Corporate Governance, Executive Compensation or Board Relations expense depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX operations or US exposure we handle complementary invoicing in USD with the foreign trade complement and USMCA compliance when the merch crosses the border as part of the reserved material for the international consultant resident abroad. For groups with dual listings (BMV and NYSE/Nasdaq), we handle bilingual (es/en) invoicing and USMCA compliance. Merch is delivered with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement when applicable, and with the payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.
