Salon L-7: the room where the OEA auditor signs the USMCA recertification and the compliance officer kit lands before the customs file

Salon L-7 is a customs-compliance room in an industrial park with OEA and C-TPAT certification: 75-inch touchscreen with the real-time compliance system, backup projector, 18 review stations in a horseshoe with dual screens, video conferencing to customs and SAT, oval table for sessions with the accredited auditor, waiting room for foreign-trade operators, dock with restricted hours, cold room for samples. Annual OEA compliance audits run here, along with quarterly reviews for C-TPAT recertification, USMCA compliance committees with accredited broker presence, briefings with destination brokers in the US and Canada, and year-end sessions with the compliance director. What sets Salon L-7 apart is not the staging (which is technical and contained) but the document traceability: every merch piece has to land signed for by the receiving compliance officer, exit with the warehouse control sheet, and let the audit close without merch logistics delaying the file signature.

Salon L-7 logistics, access and chain of custody

Salon L-7 runs on a freight dock shared with the campus warehouses: the lateral dock accepts 12-ton trailers inside restricted hours (typically 5:00 to 8:00 and 17:00 to 20:00), and the 3.5-ton box truck has its own ramp on the east side. Pedestrian freight access requires prior ID, campus credential, logbook signature and customs security protocol compliance; there is no informal access and no entry through the main door. Campus operations staff delivers the POP material and the compliance officer kits with visible ID and credential, and handles restocking during coffee break recesses. Salon L-7's back-of-house has two areas: the review room (where the compliance officer kit is staged and the per-port delivery is signed) and the compliance store (where the remaining merch sits in sealed boxes bearing the corporate seal).

For audits with international OEA auditor presence (typically from the US, Canada or Mexico), we handle invoicing in USD at the Banco de Mexico FIX rate from the day before the event, with USMCA compliance and support for deduction as customs compliance expense or International Client Relations expense in the corporate fiscal close. For audits with customs or Treasury ministry presence, we handle compliance with the campus security protocol and the customs protocol when applicable. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, time stamp and photo at every checkpoint: dock entry, operations inspection, back-of-house transfer, restocking during recesses, post-event pickup.

Salon L-7 confidentiality, compliance and restrictions

Salon L-7 enforces operating rules the merch must respect: no camera phones inside the room during audits, no merch with noise or distraction elements, no large backpacks or bags inside the room (compliance officers leave their gear in the review room), no POP material carrying competitor logos to the OEA auditor, no outside food or beverages beyond the campus catering service. For sessions that require limited-edition merchandising (numbered anniversary polo, tool engraved with the year, paperweight stamped with recertification date), we coordinate with campus operations to ensure the piece clears the customs security protocol, the USMCA compliance protocol and the traceability protocol when the audit requires serial-number inventory control of the merch.

For SAT invoicing we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as customs compliance expense, OEA operations expense or International Client Relations expense depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX operations or US exposure, we handle complementary invoicing in USD with USMCA compliance support when the merch crosses the border as part of the compliance material for the OEA auditor. For operations with dual listings (BMV and NYSE/Nasdaq), we handle bilingual (es/en) invoicing and USMCA compliance when the compliance officer kit crosses the border as part of the compliance material for the auditor resident abroad. Merch is delivered with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement when applicable, and with the payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.

Can you handle merch for audits that repeat every year?

Yes — we run annual programming with the same brand manual, scaling the run size based on the audit agenda and the special guests (international OEA auditor, C-TPAT auditor, customs observers).
