Salon G-9: the warehouse where three models are unveiled simultaneously and the merch has to land at the assembly line before the press does

Salon G-9 occupies a converted industrial warehouse on the Mexico-Toluca federal highway, in the Interlomas industrial corridor. It is a 600-square-metre double-height (8-metre) space with a bridge crane for moving vehicles, two indoor test tracks with polished-concrete floor, an 80-guest VIP room overlooking the track, an 8-ton freight elevator with restricted hours, and a freight dock that accepts 40-ton trailers. Inside these walls the OEMs with Bajio plants have unveiled the new generations of pickup trucks they build for the Mexican market and for US export under USMCA, the leasing companies have rolled out the commercial fleets they buy for their corporate clients, the battery manufacturers headquartered in CDMX have launched their electric vehicles nationally, the tier-1 suppliers have tested their level-3 autonomy prototypes with the Ministry of Mobility, and the Coyoacan and Polanco design studios have presented their concept cars to the global brand committees. What separates Salon G-9 from a comparable reveal hall is that the Bajio plant assembly line receives the merch 72 hours before the press event.

Salon G-9 logistics, access and chain of custody

Salon G-9 loads through the east side freight dock: the freight elevator accepts up to 8-ton loads by appointment with restricted hours, and the 40-ton trailer has its own ramp with independent hours. Delicate freight (mini-tool sets, technical manuals, chassis-number pieces) moves in a closed cart with uniformed staff and sits in the climate-controlled warehouse store until formal hand-over. Salon G-9's back-of-house has three separate zones: the production workshop (where the merch is staged on work tables), the climate-controlled store (where the remaining material sits in sealed boxes bearing the OEM's seal) and the press room (where per-executive delivery is signed).

For reveals with corporate client presence from the US and Canada, we handle invoicing in USD at the Banco de Mexico FIX rate from the day before the reveal, with USMCA compliance and deduction support as Marketing, Public Relations or Corporate Communications expense in the OEM fiscal close. For reveals with public-sector client presence (federal-government Procurement Committee, Ministry of Mobility, state entities), we handle compliance with the government procurement protocol and the Ley de Adquisiciones when the OEM bills as a State supplier. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, time stamp and photo at every checkpoint: dock entry, operations inspection, store transfer, executive signature at the close of reveal, post-event pickup.

Salon G-9 confidentiality, compliance and restrictions

Salon G-9 runs under strict OEM and track rules: no phones on the test track during driving sessions, no merch carrying electromagnetic interference elements (electric vehicles run sensitive systems), no large bags inside the production workshop (engineers use the staff lockers), no POP material with competitor logos of the OEM (when the reveal is exclusive), no outside food or beverages beyond the Salon G-9 kitchen service. For sessions that call for limited-edition merchandising (engineer-signed technical manual, metallic piece stamped with the first chassis number, roller pen with the model year), we coordinate with the warehouse operations team to ensure the piece clears the security protocol, the press protocol and the broadcast protocol when the reveal is closed and not transmitted externally.

For SAT invoicing we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and deduction support as Marketing, Public Relations or Corporate Communications expense depending on how the merch is used. For OEMs with IMMEX operations or US exposure, we handle complementary invoicing in USD or EUR with USMCA compliance support when the merch crosses the border as part of the disclosure material for corporate clients resident abroad. For OEMs with dual listings (BMV and NYSE/Nasdaq), we handle bilingual (es/en) invoicing and USMCA compliance when the fleet executive kit crosses the border as part of the disclosure material for corporate clients resident abroad. Merch ships with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement when applicable, and with the payment complement when the OEM pays in instalments.

Salon G-9 MOQ, pricing and reservations

Fleet executive kit — from USD 98 per piece before VAT at a 160-piece run. Technical staff merch — from USD 131 per person at an 80-piece run. Corporate client hospitality — from USD 184 per piece at a 50-piece run. Plant engineer recognition — from USD 440 per piece at an 8-piece run. Pricing does not include the Salon G-9 rental, which is quoted directly with the warehouse operations team depending on the day, the hours, the reveal setup and additional services (test track, freight elevator, dock, escort, broadcast).

For reveals on high-demand dates (annual OEM launches, Bajio investment announcements, international commercial-vehicle fairs) we block the calendar 120 days ahead with a firm written commitment. For reveals on low-demand dates we block 60 days ahead. Express production under 30 days carries a +50% surcharge for the curation, dispatch and coordination with the Bajio plant engineering team. The reservation runs on a sixteen-point brief: reveal date, models to unveil, attendee count, pieces per package, OEM brand manual, corporate colour palette, track protocol, broadcast compliance, freight logistics, escort, SAT invoicing, USMCA compliance when the merch crosses the border, post-event donation to the Mexican automotive museum.
