Salon G-12: the mountain refuge where the CEO closes the year's strategy and the merch rides up in the retreat backpack, down on the last day

Salon G-12 sits on the top floor of a boutique hotel on the Mexico-Toluca federal highway, in the Cuajimalpa forest, at 2,850 metres above sea level. It is a 280-square-metre hall with 270-degree views of the Ajusco range, a floor-to-ceiling oak bookcase, two work tables seating 14 each, an adjoining room with a fireplace seating 24, a service freight elevator on the back access with restricted hours, and a security gate with vehicle screening. Inside these walls the multinationals with Mexico operations hold their annual strategic-planning retreats, the family-owner groups behind the IPC companies run their board workshops, the bank risk committees land their Basel III reviews in Mexico, the leasing-company and fintech CEOs close the year's capex, and the trade-association leadership teams wrap their annual agendas. What separates Salon G-12 from a comparable mountain venue is that the merch rides up in the retreat backpack and rides down on the last day, not the first.

Salon G-12 logistics, access and chain of custody

Salon G-12 loads through the back access of the boutique hotel: the service freight elevator runs on restricted hours (typically 10:00 to 16:00 for morning retreats and 14:00 to 20:00 for evening retreats) and requires prior identification of the uniformed staff. Delicate freight (technical backpacks, signed editions, wood pieces) moves in a closed cart with hotel staff and sits in the floor store until formal hand-over. The hotel staff walks each executive from the hotel entrance to their room and then to the hall, with the discretion protocol typical of an executive retreat.

For retreats with international CEO presence (typically from the US, Canada and Europe), we handle invoicing in USD at the Banco de Mexico FIX rate from the day before the retreat, with USMCA compliance and deduction support as Strategic Planning, Human Resources or Corporate Communications expense in the corporate fiscal close. For retreats with board member presence from BMV or NYSE/Nasdaq-listed companies, we handle corporate-governance and Ley del Mercado de Valores protocol compliance when applicable. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, time stamp and photo at every checkpoint: freight elevator entry, hotel staff inspection, store transfer, executive signature at the start of the retreat, pickup at the close of the retreat.

Salon G-12 confidentiality, compliance and restrictions

Salon G-12 runs under strict hotel and corporate rules: no phones in the hall during strategic-planning sessions, no professional cameras (only authorised staff phones take the retreat photos, with prior CEO approval), no merch carrying noise or distraction elements, no POP material with competitor logos of the corporate (when the retreat is exclusive), no outside food or beverages beyond the hotel kitchen service. For sessions that call for limited-edition merchandising (author-signed book of the retreat's recommended read, wood piece stamped with the year's theme motif, roller pen with the retreat year), we coordinate with the retreat director to ensure the piece clears the discretion protocol, the press protocol and the broadcast protocol when the retreat is closed and not transmitted externally.

For SAT invoicing we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and deduction support as Strategic Planning, Human Resources or Corporate Communications expense depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX operations or US exposure, we handle complementary invoicing in USD or EUR with USMCA compliance support when the merch crosses the border as part of the disclosure material for international CEOs resident abroad. For groups with dual listings (BMV and NYSE/Nasdaq), we handle bilingual (es/en) invoicing and USMCA compliance when the retreat executive kit crosses the border as part of the disclosure material for international CEOs resident abroad. Merch ships with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement when applicable, and with the payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.

Salon G-12 MOQ, pricing and reservations

Retreat executive kit — from USD 190 per piece before VAT at a 40-piece run. Facilitator team merch — from USD 235 per person at a 16-piece run. External consultant hospitality — from USD 262 per piece at a 16-piece run. External guest recognition — from USD 500 per piece at a 4-piece run. Pricing does not include the Salon G-12 rental, which is quoted directly with the boutique hotel events team depending on the day, the hours, the retreat setup and additional services (hotel kitchen, freight elevator, hotel staff escort, broadcast).

For retreats on high-demand dates (fiscal year-end close, Q1 strategic planning, annual board workshop) we block the calendar 90 days ahead with a firm written commitment. For retreats on low-demand dates we block 45 days ahead. Express production under 21 days carries a +45% surcharge for the curation, dispatch and coordination with the lead executive coach. The reservation runs on a fifteen-point brief: retreat date, retreat type, attendee count, pieces per package, corporate brand manual, isotype palette, hotel discretion protocol, broadcast compliance, freight logistics, escort, SAT invoicing and USMCA compliance when the merch crosses the border.
