Salon D-8: the room where the private equity fund closes with Norway's sovereign fund and the LP kit lands before the due diligence coffee

Salon D-8 is the fundraising room of a private equity firm in Torre Reforma: 32 seats with an oval table for the LP IC, a 6-metre LED screen with the fund pitch, an encrypted video conference bridge to the 4 roadshow cities (London, NY, Singapore, Tokyo), a data room hold room with rotating code, a soundproofed coffee break foyer, and two accesses: main with biometric turnstile and freight with logbook. This is where the new fund fundraising roadshows run (typically every 3 to 5 years), where quarterly advisory board meetings with the most important LPs happen, where investment committee sessions for approving new acquisitions gather, where calls with institutional LPs for side letter negotiation land, where final LP due diligence before fund close sits, and where ILPA Compliance Advisory sessions run. What separates Salon D-8 from the venue capacity is the extreme confidentiality: the LP kit enters before due diligence, signed binders are stored in the data room with the fund seal, and the sovereign fund guest merch is USMCA-compliant when it crosses the border with the commitment documentation.

Salon D-8 logistics, access and data room custody

Salon D-8 runs on a dedicated service elevator on the high floor: freight travels up the west-wing service elevator with restricted hours and a notarial logbook; there is no informal access and the biometric turnstiles record every entry and exit with photo. Light freight (LP kits, bottled water, morning biscuits) goes up with ID, credential and the fund operations lead signature. The merch is staged in the data room hold room and the delivery is signed with the fund seal and internal folio. The room has a locked archive for the confidential PPM documents and a rotating code to access the electronic data room; LPs sign each document exit with reinforced NDA.

For sessions with international LP presence (Norges Bank IM, GIC, Temasek, ADIA, CalPERS, CDPQ, Harvard Endowment), we handle invoicing in USD at the Banco de Mexico FIX rate from the day before delivery, with USMCA compliance when the merch crosses the border, and support for deduction as Fundraising or Investor Relations expense in the fund's fiscal close. For sessions with ILPA or AIMA presence, we handle compliance with the fund security protocol and the Policia Bancaria e Industrial protocol when applicable. The chain of custody is documented with signature, time stamp and notarial folio at every checkpoint.

Salon D-8 confidentiality, compliance and restrictions

Salon D-8 enforces ILPA compliance rules the merch must respect: phones off inside the room during due diligence Q&A, no merch with noise or visual distraction elements, no backpacks or bags inside the room (LPs use hallway lockers), no POP material carrying third-party logos (external LPs receive merch before entering the room), no outside food or beverages beyond the firm kitchen service. For sessions that require limited-edition merchandising (first fund close polo, book signed by the outgoing managing partner, paperweight stamped with the year of the fund's constitution), we coordinate with the fund's investment committee and ILPA to ensure the piece clears the confidentiality protocol and the data room protocol.

For SAT invoicing we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as Fundraising, Investor Relations or ILPA Compliance expense depending on how the merch is used. For firms with international operations or US market exposure, we handle complementary invoicing in USD with USMCA compliance support when the LP kit crosses the border as part of the commitment material. For firms with dual listings or constituted abroad, we handle bilingual (es/en) invoicing and carta porte 3.0 with the foreign trade complement when the merch ships internationally. The payment complement applies when the firm pays in instalments or when delivery happens against the LP's signed receipt.

Salon D-8 MOQ, pricing and reservations

Institutional LP kit — from USD 205 per piece before VAT at a 30-piece run. Sovereign fund guest merch — from USD 532 per piece at an 8-piece run. LP of the year recognition — from USD 922 per piece at a 3-piece run. Fund staff merch — from USD 158 per person at a 16-piece run. Pricing does not include the Salon D-8 rental nor the floor coffee bar service, which is quoted directly with the fund's investor relations office depending on the day, the hours, the LP count and the data room services when applicable.

For fundraising sessions on high-demand dates (first fund close, marketing roadshow, final LP due diligence) we block the calendar 30 days ahead with a firm written commitment. For quarterly advisory board sessions we block 14 days ahead. Express production under 10 days carries a +35% surcharge for the curation and dispatch. The reservation runs on a fourteen-point brief: session date, meeting type, LP count, external guest count, pieces per package, fund brand manual, ILPA protocol, freight logistics, SAT invoicing, USMCA compliance and carta porte when the merch crosses the border.
