Salon C-12: where the investment committee decides the MXN/USD hedge and the treasurer kit lands before the VaR

Salon C-12 sits on the 5th floor where the investment and treasury committees of BMV-listed corporates and IMMEX subsidiaries with cross-border operations meet monthly: six horseshoe-arranged seats, a lectern for the corporate treasurer, a five-metre LED screen with simultaneous projection of the investment portfolio and the VaR dashboard, an annexed room with a secure phone line for calls with the placement bank and the portfolio administrator, a sealed chamber for the FX hedge annexes and a closed kitchen with discreet service. This is where the MXN/USD and MXN/EUR FX hedges get approved, where the corporate treasury investments get signed off, where the credit lines with the multiple bank and the development bank (Bancomxt, Nafin) get renewed, where debt issuances in the local and US markets get decided and where the cash surplus investment decisions get made. What separates Salon C-12 is the money market ritual: the treasurer kit enters before the VaR, exits signed for by each member at close and lets the head of treasury archive the minutes without the merch pulling attention from the portfolio.

Salon C-12 logistics, access and custody

Salon C-12 operates with an independent 5th-floor freight dock: the side dock takes a 3.5-tonne van on a restricted shift. Access requires pre-registration, a complex-issued badge and a signed floor log; the FX hedge annexes are moved straight from the dock to the sealed chamber without going through the lobby. The Salon C-12 operations team delivers the committee material with visible ID and is responsible for safeguarding the material not delivered to the floor chamber. The annexed room with a secure phone line is used for calls with the placement bank, with the portfolio administrator or with the regulator when the session needs real-time consultation.

For sessions with international banks (from the US, Europe or Canada), we invoice in USD at the Banco de México FIX exchange rate of the day before, with USMCA compliance and support for deduction as a Treasury or Investment expense in the corporate fiscal close. For sessions covering IMMEX subsidiary FX hedging, we issue complementary invoicing in USD and USMCA compliance when the hedge crosses the border as part of the parent's treasury archive. The merch custody chain is documented with signature, time and seal at each control point: dock intake, operations inspection, transfer to the sealed chamber, delivery to the treasurer, recess restocking, post-session pickup, return of surplus to the corporate.

Salon C-12 confidentiality, compliance and prohibitions

Salon C-12 has operating rules the merch must respect: no mobile phone use in the room during the portfolio review, no merch items with unauthorised electronic elements, no backpacks or bags in the room (committee members use the sealed chamber for their gear), no POP material bearing third-party logos when the hedge is being discussed, no food or beverages other than the 5th-floor kitchen service. For sessions requiring limited-edition merchandising (outgoing treasurer signed book, committee anniversary paperweight, FX hedge year plaque), we coordinate with the complex operations area to make sure the piece complies with the security protocol, the money market protocol and the treasury archival protocol.

For SAT invoicing we issue CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as a Treasury, Investment or Financing expense, depending on the merch use. For corporates with IMMEX or US operations we issue complementary invoicing in USD or EUR and support USMCA compliance when the investment portfolio crosses the border as part of the parent's treasury archive. For groups with dual listing (BMV and NYSE/Nasdaq) we issue bilingual (es/en) invoicing and USMCA compliance when the committee material crosses the border as part of the 10-K archive. The merch ships with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement where applicable, and with the payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.
