Salon B-7: the room where the Monterrey engineering team works with Detroit in real time and the kit clears Laredo the same night

Salon B-7 is the room reserved for cross-border hybrid workshops of corporates with USMCA operations in Mexico, the US and Canada: 60 seats in school format with round tables for four (each table with a monitor for remote team connection), 85-inch interactive display, digital whiteboard, professional videoconference system for simultaneous link to Detroit, Toronto and Austin offices, table microphone audio system with noise cancellation, digital collaboration platform (Miro, Mural, Figma, Microsoft Teams) for real-time exercises, adjacent break room for coffee, didactic material store, high-speed photocopier for exercises, one-on-one coaching room for individual sessions, simultaneous English-Spanish-English interpretation room when Canadian or US participants do not speak Spanish. This is where cross-border hybrid workshops of corporates with USMCA operations run: product engineering workshops (new part development, CAD drawing review in STEP format, simulation model review in CAE format), supply chain planning workshops (inventory review, production plan review, USMCA compliance review), quality workshops (non-conformance review, quality indicator review, corrective action review), finance workshops (quarter close, budget planning, forecast review), HR workshops (workforce planning, turnover indicator review, training programme review). What separates Salon B-7 from a generic classroom is the USMCA compliance chain: the participant kit must arrive at the workshop with the complete technical documentation, updated CAD drawings, the USMCA compliance indicator list, and personalised merch the participant will use in their day-to-day after the workshop at the Monterrey, Detroit or Toronto plant.

Salon B-7 USMCA logistics, access and chain of custody

Salon B-7 runs on a freight dock shared with the corporate Operations directorate: the lateral dock accepts 1.5-ton box trucks within restricted hours from 06:00 to 10:00, with prior supplier identification, corporate credential and logbook signature with facial recognition. For kits of cross-border participants that cross the border, we handle export with pedimento filed by our customs broker, with the CFDI 4.0 foreign trade complement, with USMCA compliance for preferential tariff treatment and international shipping via UPS, FedEx or DHL Express with cargo insurance, recipient signature and corporate email confirmation. For participants in Mexico (Mexico City, Monterrey, Saltillo, Queretaro), we handle national shipping via Estafeta, FedEx, DHL or UPS with cargo insurance and recipient signature. Salon B-7's back-of-house has three areas: the break room (where coffee and workshop recesses are served), the one-on-one coaching room (where facilitator kits are stored) and the workshop store (where merch sits in sealed boxes bearing the corporate seal with key held by the Operations director).

For hybrid workshops with external facilitator participation from the US, Canada or Europe, we handle invoicing in USD or CAD at the Banco de Mexico FIX rate from the day before the shipment, with USMCA compliance and support for deduction as Training and Development (per Article 27 of the LISR) or Product Development expense in the corporate fiscal close. For hybrid workshops with Detroit, Toronto or Austin office representatives, we handle compliance with the corporate security protocol and the USMCA compliance protocol when applicable. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, timestamp, photo and facial recognition at every checkpoint: dock entry, operations inspection, transfer to the workshop store, participant signature upon receiving their backpack, restocking during recesses, post-workshop pickup.

Salon B-7 confidentiality, compliance and restrictions

Salon B-7 enforces operating rules the merch must respect: no unauthorised recording devices during one-on-one coaching sessions, no merch with noise or distraction elements during workshop sessions, no backpacks or bags in the room (participants use the corporate lockers), no POP material carrying third-party logos, no outside food or beverages beyond corporate catering, no merch leaving Salon B-7 without written authorisation from the Operations director. For hybrid workshops that require limited-edition merchandising (numbered cohort polo, tool engraved with the new part code, paperweight with workshop year), we coordinate with the Operations director to ensure the piece clears the intellectual property protocol, the USMCA compliance protocol and the export protocol when the merch crosses the border.

For SAT invoicing we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as Training and Development (per Article 27 of the LISR), Product Development or USMCA Compliance expense depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX operations or US exposure, we handle complementary invoicing in USD or CAD with the foreign trade complement and USMCA compliance when the participant kit crosses the border as part of the technical disclosure material for participants at Detroit, Toronto or Austin offices. For groups with operations in Turkey or Russia (through minority stakes or joint ventures), we handle complementary invoicing in TRY or RUB with compliance with local invoicing and foreign exchange regulations. Merch is delivered with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement when applicable, and with the payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.
