Salon B-15: the room where the Canadian Ambassador receives the Toronto delegation and the kit wears the embroidered maple leaf and tricolour pride

Salon B-15 is the room reserved for binational trade missions and receptions for business chambers and official delegations of corporates with USMCA operations in Mexico, the US and Canada: protocol room with 200 seats in school format with round tables for eight, seating for the welcome committee (corporate CEO, Board Chair, Canadian Ambassador to Mexico or representative, Canadian Consul General in Mexico City, Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico President, Canadian Business Council in Mexico President, PRO Mexico Director, Bancomext Director, Secretariat of Economy Director), 8-metre LED display with investment opportunity presentation system, table microphone audio system and hand microphones for audience questions, simultaneous English-Spanish-French interpretation system when French-Canadian delegates (Quebec) participate in the mission, adjacent waiting room for Canadian and US delegates, adjacent press room for specialised media (Reforma, El Financiero, Expansion, Globe and Mail Mexico, Canadian Business in Spanish, Bloomberg Line Mexico), one-on-one room for individual meetings with top 10 delegates, foyer for coffee break with embroidered maple leaf on the tablecloth and tricolour pride (green, white, red) on the menu. This is where binational trade missions run: official reception of the Canadian delegation by the corporate CEO, corporate presentation to the Canadian delegation, corporate investment opportunity presentation in Mexico, USMCA compliance presentation, bilateral synergy presentation, corporate success case presentation in the Canadian market, Q&A with the welcome committee, networking session with Canadian delegates, binational gala dinner with menu paired by the corporate sommelier. Binational trade missions with US delegations (typically from Texas, California, Illinois, New York, Florida) also run here, bilateral business chamber receptions (Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, American Chamber of Commerce of Mexico, British Chamber of Commerce in Mexico, French-Mexican Chamber of Commerce), and trade missions with delegations from Latin America, Europe and Asia. What separates Salon B-15 from a generic protocol room is the diplomatic chain: the merch must arrive with the Mexican foreign service protocol (when the Ambassador or Consul participates), with the Canadian foreign service protocol (when the Canadian delegation participates), with USMCA compliance when the merch crosses the border as part of the binational disclosure material, and with tricolour pride (green, white, red) embroidered on each piece as a symbol of Mexican corporate diplomacy.

Salon B-15 USMCA logistics, access and chain of custody

Salon B-15 runs on a freight dock shared with the corporate Institutional Relations directorate: the lateral dock accepts 1.5-ton box trucks within restricted hours from 06:00 to 10:00, with prior supplier identification, corporate credential and logbook signature with facial recognition. For kits of delegates crossing the border from Canada or the US, we handle export with pedimento filed by our customs broker, with the CFDI 4.0 foreign trade complement, with USMCA compliance for preferential tariff treatment and international shipping via UPS, FedEx or DHL Express with cargo insurance, recipient signature and encrypted email confirmation of delivery, 5 to 7 business days ahead of the trade mission so the kit arrives on time at the delegate's address. Salon B-15's back-of-house has three areas: the delegate waiting room (where coffee is served before the official reception), the one-on-one room (where individual meetings with top 10 delegates are held) and the trade mission store (where merch sits in sealed boxes bearing the corporate seal with key held by the Institutional Relations Director).

For trade missions with international delegate presence (typically Canada, the US, the UK, Europe and Asia), we handle invoicing in USD, CAD, EUR or GBP at the Banco de Mexico FIX rate from the day before the shipment, with USMCA compliance when the kit crosses the border into Canada or the US, and with local invoicing and foreign exchange compliance when the kit crosses into Turkey, Russia, the UK, Europe or Asia. For trade missions with Canadian Ambassador or US Ambassador to Mexico presence, we handle compliance with the Mexican foreign service protocol, the Canadian foreign service protocol and the US foreign service protocol when applicable. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, timestamp, photo and facial recognition at every checkpoint: dock entry, operations inspection, transfer to the trade mission store, delegate signature upon receiving their kit, restocking during recesses, post-mission pickup.

Salon B-15 confidentiality, compliance and restrictions

Salon B-15 enforces operating rules the merch must respect: no unauthorised recording devices during the official reception (delegates may hand-write notes but cannot record audio or video), no merch with noise or distraction elements during the official reception, no backpacks or bags in the room (delegates use the corporate lockers), no POP material carrying corporate competitors' logos, no outside food or beverages beyond corporate catering, no merch leaving Salon B-15 without written authorisation from the Institutional Relations Director. For trade missions that contain investment or bilateral agreement announcements, we coordinate with the corporate legal directorate to ensure the merch clears the bilateral diplomatic protocol, the Mexican, Canadian and US foreign service protocols when applicable, and the USMCA compliance protocol.

For SAT invoicing we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as Institutional Relations, Foreign Trade or USMCA Compliance expense depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX operations or US exposure, we handle complementary invoicing in USD or CAD with the foreign trade complement and USMCA compliance when the delegate kit crosses the border as part of the binational disclosure material for delegates resident in Canada or the US. For groups with operations in Turkey or Russia (through minority stakes or joint ventures), we handle complementary invoicing in TRY or RUB with compliance with local invoicing and foreign exchange regulations. Merch is delivered with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement when applicable, and with the payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.
