Salon B-14: the room where the CHRO recruits the top 200 graduates from ITAM, UNAM, IPN, TEC and EGADE and the kit carries the badge of the matching vacancy

Salon B-14 is the room reserved for talent summits and university recruiting fairs of corporates with operations in Mexico, Latin America, the US, Canada, Europe and Asia that recruit graduates from the country's leading universities: ITAM, UNAM, IPN, TEC de Monterrey, EGADE, ITESM, Universidad Iberoamericana, Universidad Panamericana, Universidad de Guadalajara, Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, Universidad Anahuac, Universidad La Salle, CIDE, El Colegio de Mexico, Universidad Veracruzana, Universidad Autonoma de Puebla, Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro, Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan: multi-purpose room with 60 tables for one-on-one interviews with finalist candidates (200 finalist candidates x 4 interview rounds = 800 interviews), 6-metre LED display with corporate presentation system and vacancy showcase, table microphone audio system, online application platform (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, SmartRecruiters) for finalist candidate registration, interactive voting for finalist priority ranking of vacancies, adjacent waiting room for finalist candidates, internal press room for corporate and university spokespersons, foyer for coffee break overlooking an interior garden. This is where semi-annual corporate talent summits run: corporate presentation to finalist candidates, available vacancies presentation (typically 50 to 150 vacancies in technology, finance, marketing, operations, human resources, sales, supply chain), one-on-one interview sessions with hiring managers, Q&A sessions with corporate leaders, finalist feedback session, offer and hiring session with finalist candidates. University recruiting fairs where the corporate participates as exhibitor also run here: corporate presentation to students, internship programme presentation, trainee programme presentation, young professionals programme presentation, networking sessions with students. What separates Salon B-14 from a generic career fair is the employer branding chain: the finalist candidate kit must arrive with the corporate isotype, with the vacancy matching the finalist candidate (because each finalist candidate interviews for a specific vacancy), with vacancy documentation, and with personalised merch the finalist candidate will use in their day-to-day after the summit if hired.

Salon B-14 logistics, access and chain of custody

Salon B-14 runs on a freight dock shared with the corporate Human Resources directorate: the lateral dock accepts 1.5-ton box trucks within restricted hours from 06:00 to 10:00, with prior supplier identification, corporate credential and logbook signature with facial recognition. For kits of finalist candidates resident outside Mexico City (typically Monterrey, Guadalajara, Queretaro, Puebla, Yucatan, Tijuana), we handle national shipping via Estafeta, FedEx, DHL or UPS with cargo insurance, recipient signature and corporate email confirmation of delivery, 5 to 7 business days ahead of the summit so the kit arrives on time at the address registered with the finalist candidate. For finalist candidates from Latin America, the US, Canada, Europe or Asia, we handle international shipping via UPS, FedEx or DHL Express with cargo insurance, recipient signature and corporate email confirmation. Salon B-14's back-of-house has three areas: the finalist candidate waiting room (where coffee is served before the summit), the one-on-one interview room (where hiring manager interviews are held) and the summit store (where merch sits in sealed boxes bearing the corporate seal with key held by the CHRO).

For talent summits with international finalist candidate presence (typically Latin America, the US, Canada, Europe and Asia), we handle invoicing in USD, EUR, GBP or local currency at the Banco de Mexico FIX rate from the day before the shipment, with USMCA compliance when the kit crosses the border into the US or Canada, and with local invoicing and foreign exchange compliance when the kit crosses into Turkey, Russia, the UK, Europe or Asia. For talent summits with university representative presence (ITAM, UNAM, IPN, TEC, EGADE), we handle compliance with the corporate security protocol and the university protocol when applicable. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, timestamp, photo and facial recognition at every checkpoint: dock entry, operations inspection, transfer to the summit store, finalist candidate signature upon receiving their kit (in-person or remote), restocking during recesses, post-summit pickup.

Salon B-14 confidentiality, compliance and restrictions

Salon B-14 enforces operating rules the merch must respect: no unauthorised recording devices during one-on-one interviews (finalist candidates cannot record the interviews to comply with Mexican labour legislation and to protect vacancy confidentiality), no merch with noise or distraction elements during interviews, no backpacks or bags in the room (finalist candidates use the summit lockers), no POP material carrying corporate competitors' logos, no outside food or beverages beyond corporate catering, no merch leaving Salon B-14 without written authorisation from the CHRO. For talent summits that contain classified vacancy information (job description, salary range, reporting line, strategic projects the finalist candidate will join if hired), we coordinate with the corporate legal directorate to ensure the merch clears the vacancy confidentiality protocol, the non-discrimination protocol (per Article 1 of the Mexican Constitution, the Federal Law to Prevent and Eliminate Discrimination and the international human rights treaties ratified by Mexico) and the Federal Labour Law compliance protocol.

For SAT invoicing we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding or Training and Development (per Article 27 of the LISR) expense depending on how the merch is used. For corporates with IMMEX operations or US exposure, we handle complementary invoicing in USD with USMCA compliance when the finalist candidate kit crosses the border as part of the summit material for finalist candidates resident abroad. For groups with operations in Turkey or Russia (through minority stakes or joint ventures), we handle complementary invoicing in TRY or RUB with compliance with local invoicing and foreign exchange regulations. Merch is delivered with carta porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement when applicable, and with the payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.
