Salón Azul: the room where the corporate blue brand becomes tangible inside one box

Salón Azul is one of the most requested rooms along the Reforma-Polo corridor for gala dinners, product launches and blue-chip events. What defines it is one feature that brand manuals value more than square metres: the colour. When a corporate has a manual where the corporate blue (whether BBVA blue, Santander blue, the consumer brand blue or the institutional blue) must show in the lighting, the tablecloth, the stationery and the merch, this room reduces chromatic friction to zero. Capacity ranges from 180 guests in banquet layout with central stage, 240 in theatre layout with central aisle, and 320 in standing cocktail with catering islands. The technical floor carries 800 kg per square metre, which allows palletised rigging, modular stages and backings up to six metres high. The free height is 5.8 metres, enough to hang lighting rigs and experiential marketing elements. The in-room kitchen works with three standard menus and accepts a customised menu for the corporate at extra cost, and the cellar covers Mexican wines (Valle de Guadalupe, Parras) and international labels with optional pairing. We run four merch packages by event tier.

Salón Azul logistics, loading access and schedules

Salón Azul runs two loading accesses: one off the side street of the hotel or compound (06:00 to 22:00) and another through the underground parking (08:00 to 20:00, 3.5-tonne vehicle limit). The side-street access is the only one that accepts a full-load trailer; the parking access accepts one 3.5-tonne truck and two cargo vans simultaneously. The room setup window runs 12 to 18 hours before the event, and the strike window runs 4 to 8 hours after doors close. The room's operations crew audits every merch box with a metal detector and visual inspection; POP merch (banners, backings, displays) requires an entry guide signed by the organiser and the room operations lead. For TV-produced events, we comply with the protocol of Televisa, TV Azteca or the international broadcaster, with pieces carrying no third-party logos or with digital suppression when the corporate manual demands it.

For international productions (IMMEX, EU, Asia), we invoice in USD at the Banco de México exchange rate of the day and comply with the room's Federal Taxpayer Registry (the room requires a valid RFC invoice to authorise merch entry). The merch is delivered with a packing slip and the signature of the corporate lead and the room operations lead, and is documented with photographs of entry and exit. The custody chain is logged with photo, signature and timestamp at every checkpoint: dock entry, transfer to back-of-house, set-up on table or counter, restock during the event, post-event collection. For charities receiving surplus merch, we coordinate with the corporate Social Responsibility office and the room's warehouse.

Salón Azul compliance, restrictions and permits

Salón Azul enforces operational rules the merch must respect: no indoor pyrotechnics, no merch with sharp edges, no merch with flammable materials, no pets, no outside food or beverage outside the room's kitchen service. For limited-edition merch (numbered t-shirt, signed book, author press), we coordinate with the room operations area to ensure each piece passes the security protocol. For events with public officials, diplomatic corps or international artists, we comply with the room security protocol and the Bancaria e Industrial Police when applicable. For USMCA-bound merch crossing the border as part of the hospitality kit, we prepare the customs documentation, the invoice and the packing list required by US Customs and Border Protection and by SAT's foreign trade complement.

For SAT invoicing, we issue a CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA breakdown and supporting documentation for deduction as Marketing or Public Relations expense. For corporates with IMMEX or EU operations, we issue complementary invoicing in USD or EUR and support USMCA compliance when the merch crosses the border as part of the hospitality kit. The merch is delivered with Carta Porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement when applicable, and with the payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.
