Patio: the colonial heart of Mexico City where executive networking slows down and the merch smells of cantera

The Patio is the interior open space of the Centro Histórico colonial mansion, the restored Coyoacán hacienda or the Porfirian-style San Ángel house where executive receptions with top clients run, networking events with colonial cocktail, family-business anniversary celebrations, gala dinners with mariachi or trio music, and launches where the corporate brand wants to evoke Mexican tradition. Capacity runs from 60 guests in banquet layout with tables under the arcade, 140 in standing cocktail with central fountain as meeting point, and 250 in mixed format with dance floor and live-music stage. The patio has original or restored cantera flooring, central fountain, perimeter arcades, hot kitchenette for canapés, anchored bar and awnings for rain. The asset is the colonial atmosphere; the risk is the small loading space and the weather. We run four merch packages for colonial patios.

Patio logistics, loading access and rain Plan B

The Patio runs one loading access via the side street of the building (when applicable) or through the main zaguán of the mansion. The side-street access accepts a 3.5-tonne truck from 07:00 to 21:00; the zaguán access accepts hand-carried pieces from 08:00 to 20:00. The Patio setup window runs 8 to 14 hours before the event, and the strike window runs 3 to 6 hours after doors close. The Patio operations staff audits every merch box with a metal detector and visual inspection. For Patios with rain risk, we run a mandatory Plan B: merch is delivered in sealed waterproof boxes, the awnings are activated ahead of time, and the indoor backup logistics is coordinated with the mansion's interior room.

For events in historic Patios with INAH or INBAL restrictions, we comply with the heritage conservation protocol: no nailing into the cantera, no merch that damages the stone, no pyrotechnics, no merch with flammable materials. For events with TV production, we comply with the broadcaster's protocol. For international productions (IMMEX, EU, Asia), we invoice in USD at the Banco de México exchange rate of the day. The custody chain is logged with photo, signature and timestamp at every checkpoint.

Patio compliance, heritage and permits

The Patio enforces operational rules the merch must respect: no nailing into the cantera, no open-air pyrotechnics without permit, no merch with sharp edges, no merch with flammable materials, no food or beverage outside the Patio bar service. For events in historic Patios requiring limited-edition merch (numbered t-shirt, book signed by Mexican author, copper press with the anniversary year), we coordinate with the Patio operations staff to ensure each piece passes the security and heritage conservation protocol.

For SAT invoicing, we issue a CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA breakdown and supporting documentation for deduction as Marketing or Public Relations expense. For corporates with IMMEX or EU operations, we issue complementary invoicing in USD or EUR and support USMCA compliance. The merch is delivered with Carta Porte 3.0 when interstate or international transit applies, with the foreign trade complement when applicable, and with the payment complement when the corporate pays in instalments.
