UNAM Cultural Center: the esplanade where the new graduate of the Faculty of Sciences receives the gown with the National University crest and the patron kit under their arm, before the photo with the rector at Las Islas fountain

UNAM Cultural Center is the academic complex inside Ciudad Universitaria with the Sala Nezahualcóyotl, Teatro Juan Ruiz de Alarcón, University Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC), esplanade with Las Islas fountain and Sala Miguel Covarrubias. Graduation ceremonies of the Faculties of Sciences, Engineering, Accounting, Law and Medicine run here, along with the Institute for Applied Mathematics and Systems Research (IIMAS) symposia, the Cell Physiology Institute colloquia, doctoral thesis defenses, UNAM Philharmonic Orchestra concerts, the CCU film cycles and the posthumous tributes to SNI members. What defines CCU UNAM is mixed academic solemnity: university protocol on one side and contemporary art on the other.

Logistics, access and custody at CCU UNAM

CCU UNAM has freight access through Circuito Interior with restricted hours from 6:00 to 11:00 AM on setup day, with a log signed by CCU operations and the host Faculty's protocol chief. Material moves to the Hall or Theater back-of-house in sealed boxes with lot numbers and stays under lock until registration opens. For ceremonies with retransmission to TV UNAM or the SNI channel, we run delivery with armed escort when the kit value exceeds 500,000 MXN.

For symposia combining national and international researchers, we run partial shipments from production plants in CDMX, Cuernavaca and Querétaro with Carta Porte 3.0 when applicable. For international tours continuing to Madrid, Berlin or Boston, we coordinate with the organizing committee's academic courier. The merch chain of custody is documented with signature, timestamp and photo at every checkpoint: Circuito Interior intake, CCU operations inspection, back-of-house transfer, coffee-break restocking and post-event collection.

For UNAM and corporates invoicing through SAT, we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and support for deduction as Public Relations, Education or Academic Events expense. For corporates with international operations, we run complementary invoicing in USD at the Banco de México FIX rate of the prior day and compliance with the foreign-operations regime. For corporates with dual invoicing, we run the payment complement when the operation closes in installments.

UNAM, SNI compliance and CCU prohibitions

CCU UNAM operates under UNAM Culture Ministry and SNI rules for academic events: no merch with elements that disrupt the ceremony's solemnity, no outside food or beverages beyond the CCU's catering service, no competitor-brand merch in the official sponsor's exclusivity zones, no professional photography during the solemn session without protocol staff authorization, no elements foreign to the university protocol. For ceremonies with retransmission to TV UNAM, we run pieces compliant with the channel transmission protocol.

For symposia with SNI and CONACYT attendance, we comply with the institutional protocol and run pieces with the SNI crest. For colloquia with European researcher attendance, we comply with the Royal Society protocol when applicable and support for EUR invoicing when the Institute has EU academic cooperation. For colloquia with U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) attendance, we comply with the institutional protocol and run pieces with the NSF crest.

For SAT invoicing, we issue CFDI 4.0 with the 16% IVA breakdown and deduction support as Education, Public Relations or Academic Events expense. For corporates with international operations, we run complementary invoicing in USD and foreign-operations-regime compliance. For UNAM, we handle invoicing to the UNAM Tax Administration Service with university-regulatory compliance.
