Internal corporate chain for the first quarter of 2026: the four events that anchor the start of the fiscal year

The first quarter of the Mexican fiscal year kicks off the second week of January, before the post-holiday lull lifts, with the annual kickoff that the executive committee uses to align the workforce around budget, commercial goals and the year's narrative. The January board meeting is scheduled between the 20th and the 31st, ahead of Davos and the Mexican Banking Convention. International Women's Day on 8 March is the unavoidable cultural date of the quarter, with the recognition for female employees. The university graduation season in February closes the cycle before Holy Week, which in 2026 falls between 29 March and 4 April. Corp-Merch.MX produces the full chain of all four: executive committee gifts, kickoff manual, 8 March kit, graduation kit, single CFDI 4.0 invoice to SAT with 16% VAT, deductible as Industrial Relations or Training expense depending on the case, and support for IMMEX programmes and USMCA operations when the chain crosses the northern border.

The internal Q1 chain: four events delivered in six weeks

Annual kickoff — second week of January

The convention the executive committee uses to launch the year: presentation of the annual operating plan, deployment of the CEO narrative, division-by-division goals, recognition for the previous year's top performers. We produce the stage, LED screens, the host, the CEO video filmed on location, official event photography, the attendee kit (corporate backpack with thermos, hardcover notebook, roller pen, 10,000 mAh power bank), the employee of the year plaque, and the closing cocktail. We work with venues in Polanco, Santa Fe, the Guadalajara Auditorium, Pabellón M in Monterrey, the Querétaro Convention Centre. Runs from 80 pieces for boutique corporates up to 4,000 pieces for multinationals with a northern border footprint.

January board meeting — confidential booking

Production of the board session scheduled between 20 and 31 January. Leather-bound institutional folder with the annual report, encrypted USB carrying the quarterly dossier, premium gift for each board member (Longines watch, Montblanc Meisterstück pen, contemporary Mexican art piece, Tumi luggage), specialty coffee service throughout the session, simultaneous English-Spanish-Russian interpreter for international board members. Production operates under NDA signed by the team, with chain of custody for documents and gifts, and the venue is reserved under an event reference rather than the corporate name. The invoice is issued with generic corporate tax data without itemising individual line items.

International Women's Day — delivery 6–7 March

Recognition for every female employee of the company to mark 8 March. Unisex or wellness curation: organic cotton tote bag with corporate print, 2026 planner, Oaxaca-made wellness kit (copal aromatic candle, Chiapas specialty tea, handmade paper notebook), silver jewellery designed by a Mexican artisan, personalised letter from the CEO. For the internal 8M conference we handle full panel production with external guests (academic, athlete, entrepreneur), local-flower styling and a Mexican chef's catering. Runs from 50 up to 5,000 pieces delivered in a single wave to Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Querétaro, Tijuana, Juárez, León, Mérida, Puebla, Culiacán and the rest of the country.

University graduations — February cycle

Recognition for the children of employees finishing bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees in the February-June cycle: picture frame for the university degree engraved with name and programme, Montblanc or Parker pen, gift selected per budget ($1,500 to $8,000 MXN), letter signed by the CEO of the company where the parent works. Delivery is coordinated with HR and documented with photography for the internal site. Production runs from 20 pieces in family-run corporates up to 600 pieces in multinationals with employee benefit programmes. The CFDI 4.0 invoice is issued as Training expense when the gift is tied to an education programme, or as Industrial Relations expense in all other cases.

Calendar and logistics window for the first quarter

The internal Q1 chain executes within a tight six-week calendar, between the second week of January and the last week of February, ahead of Holy Week. Venue reservations must close before 15 December of the previous year: availability in Polanco, Santa Fe and Guadalajara corporate hotels drops to a minimum during the first half of January. The board meeting is scheduled outside the Mexican Banking Convention window, which takes place in Acapulco or Mexico City in mid-March, with the last week of January preferred to avoid overlap with Davos.

The 8 March kit must be delivered between 6 and 7 March: national couriers operate at capacity during 8M week, and any logistics delay means the recognition arrives after the cultural date, which breaks the gesture's impact. Shipping is coordinated with the HR calendar so that deliveries to provincial offices are scheduled before the 6th. For corporates with northern border operations, we also handle delivery in USD with couriers crossing at Laredo or McAllen. For Bajío-based corporates, delivery happens in a single wave to the plant or corporate site in Querétaro, San Luis Potosí or León.

Gift curation by tier and seniority

The Q1 curation is built jointly with the HR committee and the Internal Communications team. For the annual kickoff we handle operational gifts between $800 and $2,500 MXN: canvas backpack with thermos, hardcover notebook, power bank, ceramic mug with logo, Chiapas specialty coffee kit. For the employee of the year recipients we handle premium gifts between $5,000 and $25,000 MXN: Citizen or Casio watch, Montblanc pen, iPad tablet, Tumi luggage, gastronomic experience at Pujol or Quintonil.

For the board members at the January meeting we handle premium-plus gifts between $18,000 and $120,000 MXN: Longines or Tag Heuer watch, contemporary Mexican art piece from galleries such as Kurimanzutto or Zona Maco, Montblanc Meisterstück pen, leather travel luggage, high-end gastronomic experience. The gift is delivered with no visible price tag and is documented with a personalised letter signed by the CEO. For 8M we handle unisex and wellness gifts with a contemporary Mexican motif. For graduations we handle gifts per family budget with a five-option catalogue per tier ($1,500 to $8,000 MXN).

Booking starts with an eight-point brief: quarter events, tentative dates, headcount or attendees per event, per-piece budget, suggested gift, venue, identity manual and confidentiality handling.

For corporates with IMMEX operations on the northern border we handle invoicing in USD and deduction under the IMMEX programme when the gift is tied to plant-floor talent retention.
