Branch opening Q2 2026 in Mexico: new-location kit for new employees and opening-day customers

The second quarter is when Mexican SMEs consolidate the regional expansion they planned in January. Food, beverage, retail, services, health and beauty franchises open new locations between April and June, ahead of the strong July–August season. The branch opening has three well-differentiated audiences: the new employees joining the new location, the opening-day customers receiving the welcome bag, and the commercial partners (franchisees, wholesalers, suppliers) participating in the ceremony. At Corp-Merch.MX we produce the complete opening kit: from the new-team uniform to the customer opening-day box, with coordinated delivery to the store before opening day. CFDI 4.0 invoicing with 16% VAT, deductible as Payroll, Advertising or Commercial Relations depending on the destination.

Q2 branch-opening operational calendar

The Mexican Q2 concentrates three opening windows: the first half of April (after Semana Santa and Easter, when Mexican families resume consumption), the second half of May (coinciding with Mother's Day and the start of the warm season), and the second half of June (when SMEs rush the opening before the July–August recess). The production window closes between 15 February and 31 March for pieces delivered in April, and between 15 March and 30 April for pieces delivered in May–June. For openings with short planning windows (4 to 8 weeks) we run an express run of 14–21 business days at an 18%–25% surcharge.

At Corp-Merch.MX we coordinate the opening kit production with timelines that consider the target opening date, the new-employee count, the opening-bag count for customers, early delivery to the store before opening day, and coordination with the SME Operations team. We operate in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Querétaro, Mérida, Puebla, León, Tijuana, Cancún, Veracruz and Bajío destinations, with delivery to the new-store location or the franchisee's address. For SMEs with a US base under USMCA we handle international shipping through the client's customs broker. For SMEs running anIMMEX programme in the northern border we handle deduction when the opening ties to plant operation. Invoicing is issued with CFDI 4.0 and 16% VAT, with USD invoicing at the Banco de México daily rate for SMEs with foreign clients.

Curation by sector and opening type

Curation depends on the SME sector and the opening type. For food-and-beverage SMEs (coffee, bakery, fast-food, restaurant franchises) opening a new location we deliver full staff uniform, opening bag with branded product, POP material with menu and prices. For retail SMEs (clothing, footwear, accessories, decoration) opening a new store we deliver sales-team uniform, opening bag with next-purchase discount, POP material with seasonal catalogue. For services SMEs (health, beauty, education, fitness) opening a new location we deliver technical-team uniform, opening gift with one-month free service, POP material with service portfolio. Final decision closes between 15 February and 15 April depending on target opening date.

The process kicks off with a working session with the SME Operations, HR, Marketing and Procurement team, where we define the sector and opening type, the new-employee count, the opening-bag count, the per-employee and per-bag budget, the production timeline and the logo-and-opening-date personalisation level. Final curation closes between 28 February and 31 March for pieces delivered in April, and between 31 March and 30 April for pieces delivered in May–June. For SMEs with limited budget we run pre-designed packages with accessible MOQ and pre-payment discount.
