Q2 2026 MX corporate event: Teachers Day, Mothers Day, and graduation season — the four most sensitive dates on the spring calendar

Q2 packs four of the most sensitive corporate dates on the Mexican calendar: Teachers Day on May 15, Mothers Day on May 10 (some firms shift celebrations by a week), university and graduate school commencement ceremonies at ITAM, UNAM, IPN, Tec de Monterrey, Anáhuac, and the private universities of the Bajío, and the close of the fiscal calendar with the March 31 annual return filing for moral persons. Logistics mounts in March with advance gift purchasing in Mérida, Oaxaca, and CDMX, where artisan vendors close orders the first week of April for May delivery. We work with education corporates (Tec de Monterrey, Universidad Iberoamericana, UNAM, Anáhuac), Bajío operations, and services firms with structured recognition programs for mothers and teachers. Invoicing issues under CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA and deductibility supported as Public Relations or Training expense.

Artisan curation and pieces with provenance

Q2 is the artisan gift window. We work with Olinalá (Guerrero) workshops on linaloe wood boxes with marquetry, Taxco workshops on engraved 925 silver, San Luis Potosí workshops on hand-embroidered silk rebozo, Oaxaca workshops on alebrijes and naturally dyed wool textiles, Chiapas workshops on embroidered blouses with local motifs, Mérida workshops on cotton thread hammocks and palm Panamá hats, and CDMX workshops on vitrofusion and blown glass. Each piece ships with a maker card that names the artisan, the community, the technique, and the year of production.

For corporates that prefer premium industrial gifts we run Tissot, Citizen, or Longines watches; Montblanc, Cross, or Parker pens; Tumi or Samsonite luggage; iPad or Surface tablets; Bose or Sony headphones; specialty Chiapas coffee with manual grinder and brew methods; Baja wine with wooden case and curated pairing. Curation is built jointly with HR and Internal Communications, and gifts ship without visible pricing. For Bajío operations, we use regional gifts: Cava Quintanilla cheese from Querétaro, Casa Madero wine from Parras, Celaya milk candies, San Miguel de Allende artisan bread.

Privacy and tax compliance

Personal data handling complies with the LFPDPPP: the names of mother-collaborators, of mothers of collaborators, of teachers, and of graduates are used only for personalization of the piece and are purged from our systems 90 days after delivery. The collaborator's home address for Mothers Day shipping is treated as sensitive personal data and is requested through the privacy notice published on the corporate site. Invoicing issues under CFDI 4.0 to the SAT with 16% IVA breakdown.

For corporates delivering Mothers Day gifts as part of the Public Relations program, deductibility applies when the gift does not exceed the Article 93 LISR taxable gift limit and delivery is documented with recipient signature or courier proof of delivery. For corporates delivering graduation gifts as part of the Training program, deductibility applies when the corporate substantiates the scholarship program and the gift links to the official ceremony. We retain supporting documentation for five years for any SAT review.
