Monterrey Aerospace Summit Q1 2026: FEMIA cluster kickoff in Apodaca, Ciénega de Flores and Salinas Victoria, January–March

January, February and March are the quarter in which the aerospace cluster of Monterrey —FEMIA (Federación Mexicana de la Industria Aeroespacial), Lockheed Martin Mexico, Safran, Bombardier, GKN Aerospace, Moog, Meggitt, UTC Aerospace Systems— kicks off the fiscal year with the summit that defines who will supply what components to the model cycle that goes into production in July. The Monterrey Aerospace Summit is the kickoff appointment: three days of stands at the CINTERMEX Congress Center with B2B agenda and matchmaking that brings together corporate buyers from Boeing, Airbus, Embraer and the IMMEX suppliers headquartered in Apodaca, Ciénega de Flores and Salinas Victoria. We produce the exhibitor merch —back wall, team uniform, buyer gift, post-visit kit— with delivery to CINTERMEX five business days before setup and CFDI 4.0 with the foreign trade complement when the buyer is IMMEX.

Why Q1 in Monterrey opens the North American aerospace calendar

The Nuevo León aerospace cluster operates with a supplier calendar that starts in January and ends in December. The reason is the dependency on Toulouse, Seattle and Montreal: the first-quarter supplier round defines which parts will go into production during the model cycle that starts in July. The Monterrey Aerospace Summit is the appointment where the corporate buyers from the aircraft —Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Bombardier— sit with the Tier 1 suppliers of the cluster to review capacity, AS9100 certification, quality and price for the year that begins.

The typical Summit exhibitor operates from a three-by-three meter modular stand on the CINTERMEX floor, has an engineering and commercial team of four to ten people that travels from Monterrey itself, from CDMX, from Querétaro or from Toronto, and brings an inventory of drawings, certificates and samples that they deliver to buyers in printed and USB format. The stand merch fulfills four functions: identification of the engineering team for buyers who walk thirty stands in a day, buyer gift delivered at the close of the appointment, POP material that holds the brand when the exhibitor is not in front of the client, and post-visit kit that arrives at the buyer two weeks after the Summit with the signed proposal.

For IMMEX suppliers headquartered in Apodaca, Ciénega de Flores or Salinas Victoria, the Summit cycle overlaps with the pedimentos calendar: the merch enters the Summit under temporary export and is nacionalizado at the close of the event when it stays in the Mexican buyer's warehouse. We generate the CFDI 4.0 with the Complemento de Comercio Exterior 2.0 from the first delivery and close the pedimento when the exhibitor requires it.

Cost and operations for the Monterrey Aerospace Summit

The standard per-exhibitor bundle starts at MXN 1,180 before IVA for runs of four to six engineers. For eight-engineer runs it drops to MXN 990. The general MOQ is four engineers; stands with fewer than four are quoted with an additional fixed charge for the complexity of the back wall and the kitting per engineer.

We invoice CFDI 4.0 with 16% IVA breakdown to the SAT in national currency. For IMMEX corporate buyers we manage the payment complement in USD at the Banco de México fix of the day and the corresponding trail. For buyers receiving the charge in USD from Toulouse, Seattle or Montreal we manage the pedimento with the exhibitor's customs broker.

Lead time is twenty to thirty business days from art approval to produce the full exhibitor bundle. For exhibitors with less lead time we operate express production at an additional cost. Delivery is made five business days before setup to give the commercial team margin to do the kitting per engineer and the stand distribution.
