Q2 2026 close for Mexico employees: the mid-year awards and the recognition of the first-semester plan fulfillment

The second quarter close (April, May, June) is the midpoint of the fiscal year and the moment when Commercial, Trade Marketing, Marketing, and HR areas confirm whether the operating plan of the first half of the year was fulfilled. For Commercial and Trade Marketing areas Q2 concentrates Mother's Day campaigns (May 10), Teacher's Day (May 15), Father's Day (third Sunday of June), mid-year promotions, and preparation for the strong season of the second half. For IMMEX, plant, and manufacturing operations areas, the Q2 close closes the first half of the annual production plan and allows recognizing technical personnel who hit quality, productivity, and safety milestones of the first six months. For services areas, Q2 closes the first semester of the operating plan. At Corp-Merch.MX we produce the merchandise and gifts for the Mexico Q2 close event with operational coverage in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Querétaro, Puebla, Mérida, Tijuana, León, and Cancún, with premium Mexican curation for awardees and operational gifts for the close event invitees, billed under CFDI 4.0 to SAT with 16% IVA, deductible as Incentives, Marketing, or Trade Relations expense.

Q2 close operational calendar

The Q2 close operational calendar in Mexico follows a pattern that Commercial, Trade Marketing, HR, and Internal Communications areas manage with discipline. Close event planning kicks off between June 5 and June 15, when Commercial and Trade Marketing confirm the fulfillment of the semester plan and define the honoree list. Venue, communication agency, and budget confirmation close between June 15 and June 25. Premium gift production closes between June 20 and June 30. Middle management and operational curation closes between June 25 and July 5. Delivery logistics to the event venue schedule between July 1 and July 10 for events held between July 5 and July 18. The Q2 close gift invoice normally issues between July 5 and July 18 to accumulate expense in the first fiscal semester.

At Corp-Merch.MX we coordinate the full Q2 close production with a single project lead per client, direct coordination with the event venue, the communication agency, and the logistics operator. For corporate groups with operations in Mexico City, Monterrey, Guadalajara, Querétaro, Puebla, Mérida, Tijuana, León, and Cancún we run simultaneous production and coordinated delivery with a project lead per venue. For corporate groups with headquarters abroad we invoice in Mexican pesos at the Banco de México exchange rate of the day, in USD with daily conversion, or in EUR per the headquarters policy. For corporate groups with IMMEX programs on the northern border we handle deduction when the gift ties to retention of IMMEX technical personnel who hit Q2 milestones. Invoicing issues under CFDI 4.0 to SAT with 16% IVA, with ISR withholding support when applicable and deductibility per the destination of the article.

Curation by awardee tier and recognition reason

Q2 close gift curation depends on the awardee tier and the recognition reason. For top Commercial executives we handle gifts between MXN 3,500 and MXN 28,000 with premium curation and corporate packaging. For middle management we handle gifts between MXN 1,500 and MXN 7,500 with premium-mid curation. For operational event invitees we handle gifts between MXN 400 and MXN 2,500 with bilingual operational curation. For technical recognition of IMMEX and manufacturing personnel we handle gifts between MXN 1,500 and MXN 9,500 with area theme. For Pride events coinciding with the Q2 close we handle gifts with progress flag theme, packaging with the progress flag, and inclusion message. The process kicks off with a session with Commercial, Trade Marketing, HR, Internal Communications, and Procurement areas of the corporate, where we define the honoree list by tier, budget bands, venue cities, and production timelines.
