Planning merch for Mexican sponsors and PR teams at SBC Summit Lisbon 2026

Dates

September 29 – October 1, 2026 (three days of exhibition, conference programming and evening events across Parque das Nações).

Venue

FIL — Feira Internacional de Lisboa (Rua do Bojador, Parque das Nações, 1998-010 Lisbon) and MEO Arena (Rossio dos Olivais, Lote 2.13.01A, 1990-231 Lisbon).

Organizer

SBC Events, under the agreement signed in October 2025 with the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, Turismo de Portugal and Lisboa FCE (operator of the FIL), keeping the summit in Lisbon through 2030.

Currency and invoicing

MXN with CFDI 4.0 and the payments complement, consolidated shipments with the booth backline, optional routing via a Miami hub or a sea route to Leixões or Sines with road transport to Lisbon.

SBC Summit Lisbon has been, since its first Portuguese edition in 2024, the global reference point for the iGaming, sports betting, payments and affiliate industries, with more than forty thousand professional delegates confirmed for 2026, around eight hundred exhibitors and sponsors and more than six hundred conference speakers. The 2026 edition keeps Lisbon as its official home and splits between the FIL (operated by Lisboa FCE, the foundation tied to the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa and to Turismo de Portugal) and the MEO Arena, which hosts the main keynotes and the SBC Awards ceremonies. The agreement signed in October 2025 between SBC, the Câmara, Lisboa FCE and Turismo de Portugal keeps the show in Lisbon at least through 2030.

For corporate sponsors, Mexican PR teams with European operations, and iGaming and sports betting operators that bring delegations to Lisbon, SBC Summit is a serious investment where the brand has to read fast in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and where the right signal is regulatory seriousness (the show runs under the framework of the Serviço de Regulação e Inspeção de Jogos de Portugal), clean fiscal compliance in the country of origin, and tidy customs paperwork at the border. The merch you hand out has to match the room: the European delegate benchmarks against German and Nordic dossiers and discards quickly anything that reads as a souvenir or that arrives with the labelling battered from the trip.

Mexican teams that join SBC Summit Lisbon usually split their program across four lines that we run as independent production tracks. The first is booth staff uniforms — technical tees, polos and light layers sized for sponsors, corporate PR staff and hospitality teams that rotate over the three days in long booth shifts and evening receptions in Parque das Nações. The second is hand-out giveaways tuned to the traffic on the FIL exhibition floor and the MEO Arena foyers: NFC chip lanyards for lead scanning, recycled-cotton tote bags, metal pens and thermal bottles with the exhibitor's mark. The third is press kits reserved for European, Latin American and African journalists covering the regulators, payments and sports betting agenda; those ship in Portuguese, English and Spanish packaging and get handed over in tight windows so they do not contaminate the exhibition floor. The fourth is local partner gifts, premium boxes built per name and reserved for Portuguese and Spanish operators with whom the brand wants a real next step on regulatory tables, licences and cross-border partnerships.

Cross-border freight is what decides the whole program timeline. The real options for Mexican teams are three: shipping kit with the booth backline through a freight forwarder with a sea route to Leixões or Sines and final road transport to Parque das Nações (cheapest, tied to the boat schedule and Lisbon high hotel season); flying the overflow under its own purchase order to a named consignee at the delegation hotel or a short-term warehouse near the FIL; or consolidating through a Miami hub and cross-docking into the Portuguese operator hub. For all three, the labelling at the FIL or MEO Arena has to respect the official sponsor manual, the venue printed material rules, and the regulator guidance of the operator country of origin and of the destination market.

For Mexican PR teams that also run European operations through a partner in Madrid or Lisbon, we can coordinate the European leg with a local fulfilment house while keeping the tax calculation and the CFDI 4.0 master in Mexico. That dual production lets Mexican PR shops tap Lisbon or Madrid workshops for fast day-one repeats, while reserving heavy manufacturing for the Mexican hub with scale economics and clean fiscal traceability. The sixteen percent VAT line stays clean and the vendor list stays single-source.

Production and on-site logistics

Before you start production, lock down artwork, Pantone references, quantities, packaging and a named on-site consignee — whether on the FIL exhibition floor, in the MEO Arena backstage, at your Parque das Nações hotel or at the sponsor's space. Delivery rules, dock windows and exhibitor accreditations need to be checked against the organizer manual and against the venue manual; the venue is not a public courier drop-off. For teams routing kit from Mexico via a US hub, add a buffer for customs paperwork and clearance, and a buffer at the Lisbon hotel concierge usually pairs well with the direct drop-off for the day-of hand-out overflow that does not fit in the booth.

Planning timeline

10–12 weeks out (the window is longer than other events because the cross-border trip to Lisbon requires customs paperwork and consolidation): lock the product list, quantities, Pantone references and the split between apparel produced in Mexico and kits assembled by third parties.

6–7 weeks out: sign off on a physical or production-grade sample for each line, including brand-name embroidery, NFC lanyards and packaging with a Portuguese and English consignee label.

3–4 weeks out: finish production, run quality control and label by consignee, with the CFDI 4.0 and payments complement issued for the Mexican leg.

Final week: reconfirm the delivery window at the FIL and the MEO Arena, the named consignee, the on-site contact and the road leg from Leixões or Sines to a short-term warehouse in Parque das Nações or to the hotel concierge.

Frequently asked questions

When should I raise the order for SBC Summit Lisbon 2026?

Ten to twelve weeks is the safe window when production runs in Mexico and the freight leg runs to the FIL. The summit has a fixed calendar (September 29 – October 1), so planning runs against a clear deadline and the window can be tighter if you confirm stock and vendors in writing.

Can the order ship directly to the exhibitor space at the FIL or the MEO Arena?

Only when SBC Events or the venue has confirmed the dock slot, dock access and the named consignee. Most Mexican teams split between the exhibitor space and a named concierge at a Parque das Nações hotel.

Can we route the kit through a Miami hub or via Leixões or Sines?

Yes. We coordinate apparel produced in Mexico with finishing through Laredo or McAllen, keeping the master purchase order and CFDI 4.0 in Mexico. The European final leg runs through Leixões or Sines with a local partner; the VAT line stays clean.

Is Corp-Merch a partner or official supplier of SBC Summit?

No. Corp-Merch is an independent external supplier that helps participating companies prepare their own merch. We do not organize, sponsor or represent SBC Events, the FIL or the MEO Arena.
