The Estado de México capital and a central industrial hub

Toluca is the capital of the Estado de México and the country's fifth-largest city, sitting 65 kilometres west of Mexico City in the Toluca Valley. The city pairs state-government functions, export manufacturing, education services (Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México — UAEM, Tecnológico de Monterrey Toluca campus) and a growing logistics sector. The Toluca-Lerma corridor, running 25 kilometres, is one of the central region's oldest industrial clusters and hosts maquiladoras, industrial parks, distribution centres and nearshoring operations.

The Aeropuerto Internacional de Toluca (IATA: TLC), managed by ASA, operates international air cargo — FedEx, UPS, DHL and Estafeta maintain hubs — and low-cost commercial flights (Viva Aerobus, Volaris). The Mexico City–Toluca highway connects to Mexico City in 60 minutes; the Tren Interurbano México-Toluca (now partially operational) will shorten the trip to 35 minutes. The formal economy runs on export manufacturing (IMMEX), the automotive and auto-parts sector, the food industry, education services and state and federal government procurement.

Toluca-Lerma corridor, maquiladoras and IMMEX supply chain

The Toluca-Lerma corridor concentrates the Parque Industrial Toluca 2000, Parque Industrial Lerma, Parque Industrial San Cayetano and more than 400 manufacturing companies operating under IMMEX programs. The operation includes world-class companies: Nestlé Mexico runs one of its largest coffee plants in the world; BMW Group has a plant in San Luis Potosí but tier-1 suppliers in Toluca; Grupo Lala operates a dairy plant; Coca-Cola FEMSA runs the Valle de México bottler; Grupo Bimbo runs distribution centres; and the textile and electronics maquiladoras handle IMMEX programs with pedimento.

The corridor's IMMEX maquiladoras operate under strict quality standards (IATF 16949 for automotive, ISO 13485 for medical, ISO 9001 general) and demand merch with CFDI 4.0 invoicing that supports their cost accounting and VAT deductions. We supply industrial polos with specific treatment (NOM-017 STPS for PPE, NOM-018 for hazard communication), area-graded uniforms (production, quality, warehouse, office) and onboarding kits for cohorts of 50 to 500 people per month.

Metepec, ceramics and the artisan scene

Metepec is the neighbouring municipality of Toluca, internationally recognised for its pottery tradition — declared Cultural Heritage of the Estado de México — and for the production of trees of life, candelabras and decorative pieces exported to the United States, Europe and Japan. The region runs more than 300 family workshops producing one-off pieces and limited editions. For the workshops and galleries in Metepec we handle premium packaging with artisan identity, engraved wooden boxes, gift sets for corporate clients and embroidered polos for staff.

The Cosmovitral de Metepec, the Friday markets, the artisan route and the festivals (Feria del Alfeñique, Festival Cultural Quimera) order merch for visitors and promotion campaigns. The Metepec CANACO and the artisan associations order polos for fair staff, press kits for journalists and corporate-client gifts. We work with the workshop network on packaging that meets export requirements (phytosanitary treatment, protective packing) when the piece crosses the border.

UAEM, the education sector and talent retention

The Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEM) is one of the country's largest public universities with more than 80,000 students. The Tecnológico de Monterrey Toluca campus runs engineering, business and health programs. Private universities (UVM, UNITEC, La Salle) round out the regional education offer. For universities we supply staff polos, admissions backpacks, speaker gift sets and alumni gifts for anniversary events.

Companies in the corridor — manufacturers, logistics operators, services firms — run constant talent-retention programs in a high-turnover labour market. Onboarding kits (polo, backpack, tumbler, engraved badge), tenure sets (5, 10, 15, 20 years), performance awards and recruitment merch for UAEM and Tec career fairs are critical to the HR operation. If your brief includes quantity, date and venue (Toluca-Lerma corridor, plant, maquiladora, Metepec, UAEM, Tecnológico, onboarding event, retention event), we'll walk through it and ground it in production.

Lead times and Toluca / Estado de México delivery

Our operation covers Toluca, Metepec, Lerma, San Mateo Atenco, Zinacantepec, the Toluca-Lerma corridor and the broader Estado de México. Production leaves our central workshop and arrives via road freight at the Toluca 2000 Industrial Park, the airport (IATA: TLC), the UAEM or directly to your address. Standard lead times: 7 to 12 business days for production plus 1 to 2 days for delivery in the Toluca Valley.

For maquiladoras with IMMEX programs we handle pedimento documentation, NOM-017 STPS compliance for PPE and per-batch traceability. For urgent events we keep base inventory of white polos in S to XXL, vests, backpacks and engraved tumblers with 3 to 5 business-day express turnaround. Proximity to Mexico City and the highway network make the supply chain especially robust. We'll walk through it with you and adjust the flow to your plant or event calendar.

What we are not

Corp-Merch is a corporate merch, uniform and executive gift brand for businesses. We are not part of the Estado de México or Toluca municipal government, we do not represent Nestlé, BMW, FEMSA, the UAEM or any of the maquiladoras or universities named on this page. We do not sell shirts to the general public and we have no consumer-facing retail store in Toluca. We work exclusively on corporate purchase orders with CFDI 4.0 invoicing.
