The Green Antequera — UNESCO heritage and cultural capital

Oaxaca de Juárez is the capital of Oaxaca state and the cultural centre of southeastern Mexico. The historic centre and the Monte Albán archaeological zone have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. The city keeps the Zócalo (Plaza de la Constitución), the Oaxaca Cathedral (with its valuable interior gold decoration), the Santo Domingo de Guzmán temple (with the famous Tule tree), the tourist Andadores (Macedonio Alcalá, Independencia, 5 de Mayo), the Jalatlaco neighbourhood and the traditional Abastos and 20 de Noviembre markets.

The local economy runs on cultural tourism (more than 1.5 million visitors a year), mezcal production (Oaxaca concentrates 90% of Mexican output), Pluma Hidalgo coffee, metate chocolate, crafts (Atzompa pottery, Teotitlán del Valle textiles, Arrazola alebrijes, silver jewellery) and a robust services sector. The Aeropuerto Internacional de Oaxaca (IATA: OAX) takes direct flights from Mexico City, Monterrey, Tijuana, Guadalajara, Houston and Los Angeles.

Mezcal, producers and premium brands

Oaxaca concentrates 90% of Mexican mezcal production. The premium brands — Del Maguey, Bozal, Nuestra Soledad, Mezcal Vago, Rey Campero, Tlacolula, Alipús, La Casa del Mezcal — operate from Oaxaca and sell internationally. For the producers we run house-branded embroidered polos, international-fair presentation kits, backpacks and premium gift sets. The COMERCAM (Consejo Mexicano Regulador de la Calidad del Mezcal) certifies the brands and demands consistent packaging and presentation.

Annual fairs — Guelaguetza (July), Noche de Rábanos (December), Feria del Mezcal, Expo Mezcal — move staff polos, press kits, visitor and sponsor gifts. Family producers and mezcal masters run regionally-identified polos, presentation sets and gifts for international buyers.

Cultural tourism, MAMA and boutique hotels

Oaxaca's cultural tourism runs on more than 300 boutique hotels, guesthouses and restored haciendas: Casa Oaxaca, Hotel Escondido, Quinta Real Oaxaca, Hotel Hacienda Los Laureles, Hotel La Casona del Llano. For the hotels we run monogram-embroidered polos, guest welcome kits, engraved farewell gifts, Oaxacan-identity bath sets and tiered staff uniforms.

The restaurants — Casa Oaxaca, Orígenes, Las Quince Letras, El Destilado, La Biznaga, Criollo — order staff polos and gastronomic gift sets. The Museo de Arte Prehispánico Rufino Tamayo (MAMA), the Museo de las Culturas de Oaxaca (at Santo Domingo) and the Museo Textil de Oaxaca move staff polos and visitor gift sets. Tour operators running groups to Hierve el Agua, Mitla, Yagul and Zapotec communities use quick-dry polos and gift sets.

Crafts, textile and markets

Oaxaca is Mexico's craft capital: Teotitlán del Valle (wool rugs), Atzompa (green pottery), San Bartolo Coyotepec (black clay), Arrazola (alebrijes), Tlacolula (Sunday market), San Martín Tilcajete (more alebrijes), Santo Domingo Tomaltepec (textiles), Villa de Mitla (embroidery). Family workshops and cooperatives order staff polos, fair backpacks and operational ID sets with regional identity.

State agencies — the Secretaría de Turismo de Oaxaca, the Fideicomiso de Promoción Turística, CANACO Oaxaca, the Secretaría de las Culturas y Artes de Oaxaca — order tourism-promotion polos, FAM-trip press kits and tour-operator gifts. International art and textile fairs (Feria Nacional del Textil, TIANGUIS Turístico) move staff polos, press kits and corporate gifts.

Lead times and Oaxaca delivery

Our operation covers Oaxaca de Juárez, historic centre, Reforma, Jalatlaco, Xoxocotlán, Tlacolula, Mitla, Teotitlán del Valle, Atzompa, San Bartolo Coyotepec and the tourism corridor. Production leaves our central workshop and arrives via road freight or specialised parcel at the Oaxaca airport (IATA: OAX) or directly to your address. Standard lead times: 10 to 15 business days for production plus 4 to 7 days for delivery in Oaxaca.

For urgent orders we keep base inventory of white polos in S to XXL, caps, backpacks and engraved tumblers with 3 to 5 business-day express turnaround. The Guelaguetza and mezcal fairs concentrate most of the year's demand and require 30 to 60 days' advance planning. We'll walk through it with you and adjust the flow to destination reality.
