Q3 2026 Package — the quarter of return, the homeland, and the Buen Fin runway

The third quarter of the Mexican fiscal year is the quarter of the return to routine after summer vacations, the Fiestas Patrias celebrations on September 15, and the logistical and commercial preparation for the Buen Fin running November 13 to 16. For Mexican corporates with retail operations, IMMEX manufacturing, and services, the Q3 2026 package in its URL-inverted form covers three simultaneous fronts that the Purchasing area tenders as a single piece: Back to School (July-August), Fiestas Patrias (September), and pre-Buen Fin (October).

Why this Q3 is not just any Q3

The third quarter of 2026 arrives with three particularities that separate it from any other recent Q3. First, the consolidation of the STPS Vive Mexico program that in its 2026 edition will incorporate the dual training component (school-company) for young people returning to classes in August who could join IMMEX programs as apprentices. Corporates participating in this program require specific merchandise for apprentices: uniform with visible identification as apprentice, program manual, presentation card before the plant tutor. Second, the update of the Economy Ministry guidelines for the Hecho en Mexico program, which in 2026 expands the origin certification criteria for textile pieces manufactured in national territory.

The Q3 2026 package in its URL-inverted form is built to resolve these three particularities in a single piece: school merchandise for employees' children is delivered with a donation receipt when ISR Law Article 27 (Fraction I, deductible donations) compliance applies; merchandise for the Vive Mexico program is delivered with the STPS compliance letter and the updated apprentice registry; Hecho en Mexico merchandise is delivered with the origin certification printed on the piece and the verification QR code before the Economy Ministry.

The third particularity of Q3 2026 is the logistical anticipation of Buen Fin. In 2025 Buen Fin reached sales of 191,000 million pesos with the participation of more than 180,000 businesses, and the 2026 edition (November 13-16) expects growth of 12 to 15 percent. Retail and mass consumption sector corporates participating need end-client merchandise to reach distribution centers between October 20 and 31, not later, because November is the peak shipping month for parcel services and fiscal warehouses congest. The Q3 package schedules the pre-Buen Fin delivery with a 14 business day margin before the official event start.

For corporates combining Fiestas Patrias merchandise with pre-Buen Fin, the Q3 package allows consolidating manufacturing in a single production run with shared dyes and materials, reducing unit cost between 12 and 18 percent compared to two separate orders. The invoice is issued in a single CFDI with two concept lines (patriotic + pre-Buen Fin) and each line reports materials, run, and unit value so the fiscal area correctly records each cost center.

Recommended Q3 2026 timeline

The timeline starts the first half of July with order confirmation. The first shipment (Back to School) leaves between July 20 and 31 toward plants and corporate offices; the second (Fiestas Patrias) leaves between August 25 and September 5; the third (pre-Buen Fin) leaves between October 15 and 25 toward distribution centers. Consolidated invoicing for the quarter closes on September 30 with the first and second shipments; the third shipment is invoiced in an independent CFDI dated in October to avoid contaminating the quarterly close.

Prices are quoted in MXN with optional USD invoicing when the merchandise recipient is a foreign subsidiary under USMCA. For retail sector corporates operating physical stores in CDMX, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, the quote includes shipment to the distribution center the client designates, with load and unload handling by warehouse personnel and signed delivery by the inventory responsible. For corporates with IMMEX operations in the north of the country, merchandise enters the country under the temporary import regime with import pedimento.

The timeline can be adjusted when the corporate needs an additional unplanned activation (corporate anniversary celebration in the quarter, product launch, strategic international client visit). For those cases, the Q3 package has an urgent delivery clause with a surcharge of 20 to 35 percent depending on the deadline and availability. Urgent delivery is invoiced in a single CFDI independent of the quarterly package.

What the Q3 2026 package does not include

The package does not include logistics toward the final destination of the B2C client. Buen Fin merchandise is delivered to the retailer's distribution center, and from there the client distributes to its stores and end clients with its own logistics or the parcel service it has contracted. Corp-Merch.MX does not operate last-mile logistics or delivery to the final consumer's home. Neither does it include POP material printing for point of sale (displays, wobblers, gondola headers), which is a complementary service quoted separately.

The package does not include event organization services for September 15 or the Back to School event. Corp-Merch.MX delivers physical merchandise but does not set up the event, hire the entertainer, manage food service, or rent furniture. For those cases, we recommend coordinating with the event agency the client regularly works with. Corp-Merch.MX can refer to agencies we have worked with on previous projects, but contracting and payment happen directly between the client and the agency.

The package does not include compliance with deductible donation obligations before the SAT when the corporate intends to deduct school merchandise as a donation. The donation deduction requires the donee to be a donation-authorized entity by the SAT, and the corporate does not qualify as such. School merchandise to employees' children is recorded as social welfare expense and deducted per Article 27 of the ISR Law, not as donation.
