Q2 2026 Package — the quarter of e-commerce, Holy Week, and trade shows

The second quarter of the Mexican fiscal year concentrates four commercial phenomena that the Q2 2026 package covers as a single tender: the Semana Santa season (March-April) reactivating domestic tourism in Cancún, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, and Riviera Maya; the 2026 edition of the AMVO Hot Sale running May 18 to 25; the spring edition of Expo Manufactura in Monterrey April 22 to 24; and the IPADE Business Summit in April in CDMX. The four activations require differentiated merchandise but share a single logistics provider and a single fiscal regime, making a single quarterly tender efficient.

Why this Q2 is not just any Q2

The second quarter of 2026 will arrive with two particularities that distinguish it from any other recent Q2. First, the consolidation of Hot Sale as the most important e-commerce event of the year for the Mexican market: in 2025 it reached sales of 33,900 million pesos with the participation of more than 700 retailers, and the 2026 edition (May 18 to 25) expects growth of 18 to 22 percent. Participating brands require merchandise for the end client that arrives on time at distribution centers and fulfillment centers, which means orders must enter production between March 20 and April 5, not later. Second, the entry into force of the new Federal Consumer Protection Law regulation for e-commerce operations, which obliges retailers to deliver with each order clear information on the right of return and supplier data.

The Q2 2026 package in its URL-inverted form is built to resolve these two particularities in a single piece: Hot Sale merchandise is produced in large runs (from 5,000 to 100,000 units) under a batch manufacturing regime with partial delivery dates (the first shipment reaches the distribution center on May 5, the second on May 15, and the third on May 23 to support demand peaks from the 18th to the 25th). Fiscal traceability is documented with one CFDI 4.0 per partial delivery, which allows the retailer's fiscal area to record merchandise as it arrives at the warehouse instead of waiting for the consolidated batch invoice.

For tourism sector corporates operating resorts in the tourist zone, Semana Santa merchandise has a differentiated fiscal regime: pieces delivered to the guest without consideration do not require CFDI but must be reported in the establishment's operations book; pieces sold to the guest (such as the premium welcome kit) require CFDI 4.0 Ingreso type with the 16 percent IVA breakdown in the tourist zone (where IVA is charged at 0 percent per Article 29 of the IVA Law). The Q2 2026 package manages both regimes with separate traceability, allowing the tourism corporate to correctly report exempt and taxable operations to the SAT.

The third particularity of Q2 2026 is the coincidence with the most important industrial trade shows on the Mexican calendar. Expo Manufactura Monterrey attracts more than 18,000 specialized buyers from the industrial sector, ANTAD is the largest retail fair in Latin America with more than 50,000 visitors, and The Logistics World brings together the country's main logistics operators. Corporates participating in these fairs need merchandise for stand, VIP visitor, and post-event follow-up, all delivered with a single consolidated invoice that the Trade Marketing area records as a single budget item.

Recommended Q2 2026 timeline

The Q2 package timeline starts the first half of March with order confirmation. Deliveries are staggered in three waves: the first (Semana Santa) leaves between March 10 and 20 toward resorts and tourist destinations; the second (April industrial fairs) leaves between March 25 and April 5 toward convention centers in Monterrey and CDMX; the third (Hot Sale) leaves between April 25 and May 15 toward retailer distribution centers. Consolidated invoicing for the quarter closes on June 30, with the fiscal compliance report documenting each CFDI issued, each pedimento used (for merchandise imported under IMMEX), and each Carta Porte generated.

Prices are quoted in MXN with optional USD invoicing when the merchandise recipient is a foreign subsidiary under USMCA. For tourism sector corporates, the quote includes shipment to the tourist destination with specialized hospitality logistics (delicate handling, signed delivery at resort warehouse). For corporates participating in trade shows, the quote includes shipment to the convention center with load and unload handling by center personnel, coordinated with the fair organizer and stand assembler.

The timeline can be adjusted when the corporate needs an urgent delivery for an unplanned activation (off-calendar product launch, strategic client attention, international auditor visit). For those cases, the Q2 package has an urgent delivery clause with a surcharge of 25 to 40 percent depending on the required delivery date and material availability. Urgent delivery is invoiced in a single CFDI independent of the quarterly package, allowing Purchasing to process it as an extraordinary purchase without affecting the Q2 framework contract.

What the Q2 2026 package does not include

The package does not include compliance with e-commerce obligations when the retailer operates with external marketplaces (Mercado Libre, Amazon Mexico, Walmart online). Those channels have their own packaging and labeling policies that Corp-Merch.MX does not control. Neither does it include influencer negotiation or advertising agency contracting, which are Marketing area functions. Influencer merchandise is delivered to the agency the client designates, and the influencer contract is signed directly by the client.

The package does not include digital marketing services or social media campaigns. Corp-Merch.MX is a physical merchandise supplier, not a communication strategy provider. For clients requiring an agency to execute the Hot Sale or Semana Santa campaign, we recommend coordinating with the advertising agency the client already works with or requesting a reference from the agency directory Corp-Merch.MX has worked with on previous projects.

The package does not include reverse logistics (merchandise returns) beyond the legal warranty for manufacturing defects. Defective pieces are replaced within 15 to 30 business days from report, at no cost to the client. Returns for model change, order cancellation, or uniform sizing error are handled as a new order charged to the client, except when attributable to Corp-Merch.MX (wrong size in the merchandise, different model from the approved physical sample).
