Economy bundle: professional merch on a tight budget

The economy bundle exists because Mexican SMBs and startups also deserve merch that looks professional and lasts long enough to represent the brand well. We run this bundle for clients with 25 to 250 pieces per order, per-piece budget below $700 MXN, and the same quality expectations as a large corporate: sharp embroidery, even colour, presentable packaging, deductible CFDI 4.0 invoicing, and on-time delivery. What changes is the product selection (pieces tested with the best price-to-duration ratio) and the scale of personalisation (1-colour logo, no individual name engraving).

Why Mexican SMBs need a professional economy bundle

The most common mistake of Mexican SMBs and startups is buying cheap merch without a formal supplier. What they get is a shirt with screen-print that fades after three washes, a thermos that loses its vacuum in six months, a tote that tears on first load, and a supplier who doesn't stamp CFDI. When the corporate client asks for the invoice, it isn't there; when the supplier disappears, no response; when the shirt fades at the first event, the brand looks bad.

The economy bundle solves exactly those problems. The product selection is curated by field-tested durability: every piece has been used for at least 12 months by a client before entering the catalogue. Embroidery and screen-print are done in a formal workshop with NOM-251 compliance when the piece contacts food. The CFDI 4.0 invoice is stamped by SAT without exception. The supplier has RFC, tax address, and positive opinion of compliance with tax obligations.

The Mexican SMBs that best use this bundle are the ones in the professionalisation stage: a tech startup that left the coworking space and moved to its own office; a professional-services SMB that wants to uniform its sales team; a consumer brand in its first physical point of sale; an industrial SMB attending its first commercial fair. For all of them, merch is the first visual impression a client gets of the brand, and that first impression has to match the quality of the product or service they offer.

Another recurring profile is the SMB that receives strategic clients at the office and needs a hospitality kit without spending a fortune. The executive version of the economy bundle offers a rigid box with personalised card, national ceramic mug, notebook and engraved thermos, all under $1,500 MXN per unit. That's the recognition a managing director can give a client without going through their client's purchasing committee.

Components of the economy bundle

The bundle runs in three versions: base kit (3 pieces) for budget-tight SMBs, standard kit (5 pieces) for the professionalising startup, and hospitality kit (4 pieces) for the strategic client. All three versions share the thermos and the notebook, and add pieces specific to each case.

How invoicing works for Mexican SMBs

Invoicing to Mexican SMBs operates under three typical tax regimes: Régimen General de Ley (with 16% deductible IVA), Régimen de Incorporación Fiscal or Régimen Simplificado de Confianza (with exempt or reduced IVA depending on the case), and Régimen de Plataformas Tecnológicas for those that invoice through a marketplace. For all three regimes we issue CFDI 4.0 with the corresponding USO CFDI and the complemento de pagos when there are partial payments.

The most common payment method among SMBs is SPEI bank transfer or credit card. For clients with a 30-day line of credit, we require an active contract and credit-bureau review. For new clients, payment is 50% upfront on order confirmation and 50% on delivery. For monthly recurring series (typical of a startup needing new uniforms every quarter), we run a biweekly payment calendar with the invoice issued at month end.

The CFDI 4.0 is stamped with the fiscal information the client provides: RFC, razón social, tax address, tax regime, billing postal code. We validate the information with SAT before the first invoice to avoid later cancellations. If the client has any specific fiscal requirement (for example, requires the invoice to be issued in the name of an individual with the generic RFC for the general public), we configure it in advance and issue the receipt with the corresponding complemento.

For SMBs that require invoicing to a holding or parent company, we issue the receipt with the holding's RFC and the holding's tax address, while we deliver the merch to the operating subsidiaries' addresses. This setup is typical of business groups with multiple legal entities and operations in different states.

What the economy bundle does NOT include

To be honest about the offering, here is what the economy bundle does not include and that the client can find in the standard, premium or VIP bundles. It does not include individual name engraving (the piece is marked with the client's logo only, not the recipient's name). It does not include rigid gift packaging (the standard packaging is a non-woven fabric bag or simple cardboard box). It does not include gourmet products (wine, mezcal, specialty coffee), fine jewellery, or premium-quality crystal.

It does not include strict NOM-006 compliance (for plant operations with chemical or heavy-machinery handling) or NOM-018 with hazard classification. For those cases, the right bundle is the manufacturing tech kit. It does not include USMCA origin compliance (for US export under treaty) or IMMEX pedimento (for imported inputs).

It does not include urgent production under 8 business days (urgent orders ship in 8 to 10 days with a 30% surcharge, but no less). It does not include reverse logistics (return of undelivered pieces) without prior coordination. It does not include storage over 30 days without charge (after 30 days daily storage is charged).

What it does include, and this is the important part, is consistent series quality, full fiscal compliance, and a formal supplier who stands behind the product. When an SMB buys cheap informal merch, what they end up paying is more expensive: the shirt fades, the client gets a bad impression, and the supplier disappears. With the economy bundle, the cost per use is lower because the piece lasts longer and the brand looks good for longer.

Pricing, MOQ and timelines

Pricing in MXN before 16% IVA. The base kit (3 pieces) starts at $580 MXN per unit from MOQ 25. In series of 100 or more pieces, the cost drops to $440 MXN. The standard kit (5 pieces) starts at $1,050 MXN from MOQ 25. In series of 100 or more pieces, the cost drops to $820 MXN. The hospitality kit (4 pieces) starts at $1,280 MXN from MOQ 25. In series of 50 or more pieces, the cost drops to $980 MXN.

Production times are 8 to 12 business days for the kit with full personalisation. Series above 200 pieces require 14 to 18 business days with scheduling 3 to 4 weeks ahead. Urgent orders for last-minute events process in 5 to 7 business days with a 35% surcharge on the unit price.

For SMBs with a recurring calendar (typical startup needing uniforms every quarter or consumer brand with monthly point-of-sale activation), we run monthly contracts with preferential pricing and safety stock. The CFDI 4.0 invoice is issued at month end with 16% IVA broken out and charged to the client's account.

FAQ — economy bundle

What is the economy bundle MOQ?

25 pieces for base kit and standard kit. 25 pieces for hospitality kit. For monthly recurring series from 100 pieces per month, we handle preferential pricing with a minimum 6-month commitment. Single-unit pieces are not offered because the personalisation and packaging cost is not recovered in a single unit.

Can you personalise with my startup's logo?

Yes. We work with logos in vector format (AI, EPS, SVG, PDF) or high-resolution image (PNG or JPG at 300 dpi minimum). If your logo is new and you only have a low-resolution version, we can rebuild it as vector with a one-time design fee quoted separately. The first embroidery or screen-print proof is sent for approval ahead of series production.

Is the invoice deductible for my SMB?

Yes. We issue CFDI 4.0 with all SAT requirements: RFC, razón social, tax address, tax regime, corresponding USO CFDI (G03 general expenses, G01 when applicable), 16% IVA broken out line by line, and complemento de pagos when there are partial payments. We validate your fiscal information before the first invoice to avoid cancellations.

Can you deliver in less than 8 days?

For urgent delivery in less than 8 days, we run express production with a 35% surcharge on the unit price. The minimum lead time is 5 business days for kits without individual personalisation. For kits with name engraving (not included in the economy bundle) the minimum is 7 business days. For orders under 5 days, we don't operate: quality gets compromised and we prefer to be honest about it.

How do you handle warranty if something goes wrong?

The economy bundle warranty covers manufacturing defects (bad embroidery, uneven colour, broken piece on arrival) for 30 days from delivery. We replace the defective piece at no cost. For use defects (faded from incorrect wash, tear from overload), the warranty doesn't apply but we can offer replacement at preferential pricing. The replacement rate for manufacturing defects in our catalogue is below 2% per series.

Can you do mixed bundles with multiple logos?

Yes. For SMBs with multiple brands (typical of business groups with operating subsidiaries), we issue separate receipts per brand with 16% IVA broken out and delivery is consolidated at the central warehouse. Production can combine pieces with different logos in the same run to optimize the personalisation process.
