Mexican customs compliance is handled by the customs broker in Tijuana or CDMX for shipments to Asia, with Carta Porte 3.0 stamped at the SAT and complement of vehicle, operator and goods identification for land transit to the airport. The local customs broker at destination handles import clearance and local VAT with destination payment or exemption with temporary waybill. For shipments to mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and the Philippines, compliance is done with a certified customs broker at destination and preferential tariff payment under the framework of the CPTPP or the Trans-Pacific Partnership when applicable.
