Asia 2026 Q4 Package: Tokyo Game Show, Double 11 and Asian year-end, the gifting quarter

The fourth quarter of the Asia-Pacific calendar (October to December) concentrates three signals that Mexican corporates with IMMEX operations and Asian clients treat as the closing of the operational and commercial exercise. The first is the Tokyo Game Show from 17 to 20 September 2026 at Makuhari Messe, Japan (with extension to 21 September in B2B format), the main Asian fair for video games, esports and intellectual property that attracts 250,000 attendees and 700 exhibitors from 40 countries. The second is Double 11 (Singles Day) on 11 November 2026 in mainland China, the highest-volume e-commerce day of the year (with global sales exceeding 580,000 million yuan in 2024 per the Syntun report), and that triggers the corporate gifting calendar among Chinese suppliers and platforms such as Alibaba, JD.com, Pinduoduo and Douyin. The third is the Japanese tradition of osechi, ordered and delivered between November and December for consumption on 1 January 2027, and that Institutional Relations areas treat as the year-end closing piece. The Asia 2026 Q4 package covers the three signals as a single logistical and fiscal piece.

Tokyo Game Show, Double 11 and osechi: the Asian Q4 in figures

The Tokyo Game Show is the main Asian fair for video games, esports and intellectual property, and attracts 250,000 attendees and 700 exhibitors from 40 countries in its 2025 edition per data published by the Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association. Mexico traditionally participates with a pavilion coordinated by JETRO Mexico and the ProMéxico office in Japan, where Mexican video-game development studios and corporates with intellectual property for licensing converge. Double 11 (Singles Day) is the highest-volume e-commerce day of the year, with global sales exceeding 580,000 million yuan (approximately 80,000 million USD) in 2024 per the Syntun report, and triggers the corporate gifting calendar among Chinese suppliers and platforms such as Alibaba, JD.com, Pinduoduo and Douyin.

The Japanese tradition of osechi is a consolidated year-end ritual that Institutional Relations areas treat as the closing piece of the fiscal exercise. Osechi orders are placed between November and December for consumption on 1 January 2027, and Mexican corporates with commercial dialogue in Japan leverage this tradition to deliver premium curated pieces to VIP clients, collaborators and Japanese government officials. The Asia Q4 2026 package covers the three signals with differentiated provision and consolidated logistics for the Asia-Pacific region.
